I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Asheville, North Carolina. Blue Grass music has deep roots here.
Every Saturday night during the summer there is a free concert in downtown Asheville, called Shindig on the Green. We went this past Saturday for the first time.
There were fiddle players, banjo players, yodelers, cloggers and square dancers.
We sat on the lawn with a picnic and enjoyed the fresh mountain air and some good old country music. It was a perfect evening.
If you are ever in Asheville on a Saturday evening during the summer, I would love to meet you there!
