The Snowball Effect

Did you ever notice how one little thing can snowball into an avalanche?

We are having our kitchen counter tops replaced.  In fact it is happening today.

This is what it looks like before the new granite goes on.

The drywall had to be removed, because we are lowering the bar height section to counter height.  So now that has to be replaced and painted.

There is a hole in the wall - see above - that has to be patched.

The tile back splash has to be fixed - there was no tile behind the now removed appliance garage.

The appliance garage, had to be removed in order to install the granite, and it came out in pieces.  So now, I have to take some time to empty and reorganize this pantry  so the food processor and blender can fit in.

This was a project I had planned on doing this winter, before I had shoulder surgery.  Now it looks like that is what I will be doing next week.
