Going gray never looked so good!

A post posted many many months ago....here's the story!

This was one of those strange "blogger tragedies" a post that got published but then magically disappeared. I didn't even know this until Angela from Under Spanish Moss asked me about it several months ago, because she wanted to look up a picture I had featured in it. I looked and looked and it was gone for good!  Then one day lo and behold one day in my drafts box, there is is! I am not even going to try and figure this out one...but its one worth "re publishing" and perfect timing as I am way too busy with my move to come up with new material (for now)!!

I have a real affinity for gray cabinetry and gray decor. I am really obsessing over it lately. I mean lets face the fact that you cannot open a magazine without seeing a piece of furniture or a kitchen that is gray and that does not help matters but truth be told, gray cabinetry IS gorgeous...I am particularly drawn to the very pale milky silvery grays and the other extreme, very dark, charcoal brooding grays.

I am even toying with the idea of going gray for my laundry room and a few bathroom vanities...and have paint chips and charts scattered all over the place along with marble squares and wallpaper swatches (you can imagine). There is something soothing and calming about the color and with so many fabulous wallpapers out there in the gray tones, I think I could create a laundry room that could make doing laundry as appealing as going shopping (well that might be pushing things just a tad). In a bathroom with white marble that has subtle gray veining, a soft gray vanity chest could be a beautiful compliment to the starkness of the white marble. I love rooms in general in gray, living rooms, bedrooms, any room for that matter!  So here is a parade of beautiful gray kitchens, bedrooms and just about any room you can imagine featuring gray.........what do you think? Is it a like or a love?
