Since moving to this rental house, I have shown you pictures of deer, blue birds and turkeys taken from my back sliding door.
This is what I saw this morning when I looked out the back door.
A bear cub!
Right after I took the first picture, it walked away into the woods.
To put things into perspective, in the picture below you can see how close he is to our back deck.
Now, I am a little nervous to go out for my daily walk. This is just a cub, I think the mother had to have been around somewhere. I think I will be using a treadmill until winter, when hibernation time comes around.
I also think that when I am looking for our next home to buy, no matter what the style, it probably won't be in the woods....:-).
