Lovely eco-goodies for spring decorating - from Olive and Myrtle

For you this morning- some sustainable, eco-friendly goodies for your nest. It's Spring, and while you're cleaning your home, consider replacing worn out items with products also "clean" for the earth. This stuff is truly adorable. Many of the products you see here - from Olive & Myrtle- don't cost any more than what you'd pay at Bed Bath and Beyond! They also feature a lot from Perch, a ceramic studio right here in Brooklyn.

My favorite Perch piece!

These stacking baskets are only $14!

Storybook walls

I was so happy to run across Grow House Grow's line of children's book inspired wallpaper last night called, "Nom de Plume."

DailyCandy reports: "Later this year will come the parlor line, a dark and elegant set inspired by figures like Aleister Crowley and Captain Smith (of Titanic fame). Hand-cast porcelain switch plates are also in the works.

A portion of proceeds goes to Libros Para Pueblos, a nonprofit that builds children’s libraries in Oaxaca — which is a conversation starter in itself."

I'll be checking back because what they have in the works sounds pretty snazzy.

Christopher paper (each paper is available in three colors)

Nellie paper (this one is my fav)

Cottontail

If you love them, but don't love wallpaper - you can frame them!

You can purchase the wallpapers for $150/roll or $38/sheet.

Amazing Brooklyn Interiors

Brooklyn, the wonderful borough I call home, is a plethora of inspiration, personalities, cultures, and quirks. Every neighborhood has it's own style. From the edgy lofts of Williamsburg, to the charming parlor floor brownstone apartments you can witness more lifestyles than you'd ever imagine. I often walk around my neighborhood trying to catch a peek of how my neighbors have decorated their space, but peeping in windows isn't always the wisest ways to go about getting ideas.

So, I've scoured around and put together this collection of some great Brooklyn interiors, but you don't need to be a resident to use their ideas in your space!

This collection is Tom Scheerer's amazing Brooklyn townhouse. I made a post featuring his work previously, click here to see.

House Tours: Brooklyn Apartment and Texas Ranch House

While perusing www.marthastewart.com, I found two great house tours with a very unique flair and aesthetic. The first is the Brooklyn apartment of Designer Lotta Anderson, which utilizes the same patterns that decorate her Lotta Jansdotter textiles and ceramics.

Bright Brooklyn Apartment

Joelle Hoverson, co-founder of Purl and Purl Patchwork has her apartment set up beautifully! Take a look:

Tranquility in the living room

A breakfast nook, perfect for the Sunday crossword (ok, I never come close) and a cup of coffee!

Love the black bird illustration

Such a sweet bedroom...

Joelle made the headboard by covering a piece of foam with some fabric.
