You really don't think I would buy a condo?
Really?
After being my blog friend for years and years, you think you know me that well?
OK.
You do :-).
We did not buy the condo. Though it was beautiful, and had great amenities, we just could not wrap our heads around not having some sort of yard/garden.
The house we made the offer on was house number 3. Your guesses were pretty even between 2 and 3. 27 of you picked 2 and 35 picked house number 3. No one picked the condo.
So here is where we are. The sellers have graciously agreed to take care of some issues. We are waiting on the bank appraisal. In the mean time would you like to see more pictures of the house we chose? Today, the outside. Next post inside pictures.
The house has a steep front yard, but it has some ground cover and we will plant more ground cover and that will take care of that. It has light gray hardiplank siding with white and dark gray trim. I think we will change out the dark gray trim to all white trim.
View looking a little towards the right with mountains in the distance. It was a hazy day when I took this last photo.
There is a small patio off the great room with French doors. It has a fire pit. I think we will be removing that and putting a fireplace in it's place.
The walkway from the driveway.

As you can see, it has a great front porch. The following pictures are the view you see standing on the front porch.
Mountain view to the left.
Lake view to the right.
Closer picture of the lake view below.
The back yard...it is small, but I think a good size for us now. We will add a pergola like we did at our last home, on a smaller scale.

Here is a view of the back yard from the opposite direction.
It has a lot of landscaping in place that just needs a little trimming. Plus we will add more when we get settled in. I have hydrangeas!!
The walkway from the driveway.
The pretty stone retaining wall. The base of the house is stone too.
Here are the stats on the house. It is a 2 bedroom plus den, 2 bath home. It has a bonus room upstairs. It is about 2300 square feet. That is about 1300 square feet smaller than the home we just sold. It is a perfect size for the two of us.
Keep your fingers crossed on the bank appraisal. I will show you inside pictures in the next post. Thanks for house hunting with me!!
Welcome Home,
Penny
