New York, New York!
Thanks for hanging around waiting for my blog break to end. I spent the last couple of days in New York. I have always wanted to go there and as an early anniversary (June 30th) Mr. Comforts of Home took me there.
We walked and walked and walked all over Manhattan, from Central Park to the Empire State building.
We rode the Staten Island Ferry and I had a wonderful view of the city skyline and the Statue of Liberty.
We ate dinner at Bobby Flay's restaurant, Bar American one night and it was delicious.
After dinner, we went to the "Top of the Rock" at Rockefeller Center and watched the sun set over the city....
The moon to rise.....
and the city lights to come on....
We saw a Broadway Show, Chicago. Christie Brinkley played the part of Roxie. We were in the third row and it was fabulous!
We ate NY pizza, went to a deli for bagels, toured the "largest store on earth", Macy's and visited the South Seaport. We rode a NY taxi (that was an experience!) and took the subway. We strolled through Grand Central Station, and walked down 5th Avenue. By the time we were finished we felt like honorary New Yorkers!
The entire time was wonderful. New York is a fast paced, full of energy city, that just makes you feel alive.
So what have you been up to this week? I would love to know!
Welcome Home,
Penny
