Not too far out of Paris is the Palace of Versailles. It is amazing Palace commissioned to be built by Louis XIV. We probably know it more because of Louis the Sixteenth and Marie Antoinette. A great movie to watch about Marie Antoinette is this one.
The day we visited it was packed! It was really hard to see anything without a crowd of 100's in each room of the Palace. We were there at the end of March, which is not even season.
