A beautiful and romantic loft in white

I had gotten off white for a while, but this gorgeous NYC loft reminds me why interiors in white will always be a favorite.

The bookcase is the first thing you see when walking in to the loft. It's 12 ft. long and constructed of solid reclaimed wood.

Adore that large table.

What great windows! I'm so jealous!

dreamy. That rug must feel so good under foot when you wake up int the morning.

Kitchen Love

I cook a lot more in the fall and winter, so I'll be spending a lot more time in the kitchen.  I imagine that in some homes, the kitchen is the most popular room in the house.  Our kitchen is a small galley kitchen, so it's not suitable for hanging out in, but one day I hope to have a kitchen that opens up to the living room.

This kitchen is simple, but white is my favorite cabinet color, and the light is really nice.

If you are very good at keeping your items tidy, open shelves can be really attractive, and the open backs don't hide the eye-catching backsplash.

Talk about amazing kitchen design, all those windows would make you feel like you're cooking outside year round.

Zara Home now open to US shoppers!

Well, it's been out for about a week now that Zara Home is now open to US shoppers! How amazing is that!  For the last 4 YEARS I have been drooling over items on their site with dismay, knowing that I could only look. Well, now we can touch too!

Since I'm now planning a wedding, I have already started my registry wish list, and let me tell you, I feel like I could register for almost everything on this site!

Check out my favs below:

Lots of gorgeous bedding - you will be in heaven if you love whites.

Gotta love these gold mosaic fish plates

Love this rug

Some serious drawer pull love!

Back from Vacation, and needing some home office inspiration

If you think Mondays are bad, what about a Monday after spending a week in the beautiful Outer Banks of NC?

It's hard for me to not wistfully daydream about how just yesterday morning, I was sipping coffee on the beach.  ...sigh...  Anyway, it's back to work and I definitely could use some pretty, organized home offices to help inspire me to be more productive.

The gray is such a nice background for everything.

Check out the pop of yellow from their Nat.'l Geographic collection!

The three above images are from the office of a husband and wife team, who work out of their home. A quick side note, check and make sure you don't need to supplement your home insurance if you are running a business out of your home.

Love this crisp, tailored home office.

California Beach Cottage - White and serene

Happy Friday everyone! I will be on vacation next week, so I'm not sure how often I'll be posting. Since I will be at the beach, what's more fitting than a beach cottage house tour?

this kitchen is nice and bright - it might help me wake up in the morning.

The TV is hidden behind this vintage map - how cool is that?

Stunning

House Tour: Rustic chic in muted tones

Happy Friday Everyone!  I thought you'd enjoy this gorgeous home, which is not only decorated in a modest, but still elegant way, but also has some great architectural bones.

Enjoy!

Not to pick on Lonny Magazine, but is anyone else just a little bit tired of seeing every photo so over-exposed?

Homeowner Estee gives a great design tip:  "I prefer to consider everything in terms of color, texture, and pattern, rather than in terms of period or origin.  If you concentrate on the color of a piece, rather than whether it's Venetian or bohemian, it's much easier to blend different styles into a single room"

Love the white on the walls and headboard with the gray wash of the wood dresser

This is such a sweet room for a little girl, and it will grow with her with just a few simple changes

Nurseries normally don't turn my head, but this one is so serene and calm.
