I always like to ring in the week with light and cheery images since Monday's can be tough enough. While cabins are often cozy and charming - one thing I don't like about them is that they are usually dark. This one however, breaks free from the mold with bright white washed logs and ample windows.
What do you think?
I love this shot.

I've been cooking a lot more, and therefore spending most of my evenings in the kitchen. I don't know if my cooking will ever get better - but atleast I can make my kitchen a little tastier!
Love this clutter-free, retro kitchen.
Small herb pots on the counter are a favorite of mine
The lamp on the counter is such a charming touch. I love the cabinets, too.
I was honored when Katie over at Keep Domino Alive asked me to guest post. Here's my little contribution. See more at: Keep Domino Alive Go visit and see lots of other lovely Domino images from some awesome bloggers. Thanks Katie!
It still really has not sunk in yet. I guess when it comes to the stages of grief I am still stuck in denial. The magazine is going, but why why why do away with the website? I cannot imagine going to dominomag.com and getting an error message. I remember when Blueprint folded they tried to keep it alive via the Bluelines blog, but sadly that didn’t last very long.
Grieving aside, I have pulled a few beautiful images from the site to commemorate the magazine that served as a tableau for my dream house. Ok, houses. I went searching with the intention creating a collection of images illustrating one of my favorite styles- French eclectic- but as you can see, that idea didn’t last long. There was too much beauty; so I leave you with a potpurri. *weep*
I'm sure like most of you, I cannot believe it is 2009! It feels like just last month I decided to start up Decorology, but time does fly when you're having fun. I thought I'd wrap up 2008 and welcome 2009 with a selection of rooms from this past year- some familiar, some maybe not so familiar. All of these images I pulled from my flickr photostream. Enjoy!
