As the days get colder and gloomier, we naturally spend more time inside. Sometimes a rainy or snowy day is just the excuse you need to cozy up and spend the day with a new or well-loved book.

That's one comfy looking loveseat. I'm sure I could read there all afternoon.

If I ever have the space, creating a little reading nook like this will be a top priority!

Check out how they've even extended the bookcase on the sides. Definitely making the best use of space here.

I've been reading a lot lately that if you have "ugly" books, to cover them in plain white paper to create a nicer looking shelf. I don't know how I feel about this. Something about it to me seems too forced, but I've never seen it in person. Has anyone tried this?

Squeeze the most out of an otherwise unusable wall space by running low shelf units along the bottom.

Do you have a dedicated home library, are your books spread out throughout the house, or have you carved out a space for books in another room?

A charming country home with style north of Copenhagen
One place we didn't visit on my travels, but is still very much on my travel wish list, is Copenhagen. I'm sure the architecture and shops would be right up my alley. Has anyone been to Copenhagen? What did you think?
The natural light in this home is great - also the architectural details like the radiator cover and top window pane.

I'm a sucker for detail shots :)

The look of all those books in the bedroom is really nice - but I'd be afraid I'd stay up too late each night reading.

This little spot in the yard is wonderfully wabi sabi no?

Chic accessories and furniture
This stuff is right up my alley, sadly, it's across the pond.. Why do I always find stuff I like overseas! urg...very frustrating. The store is called Coco Målé Interiors, and it looks like a great place for one's home decor basics. It's slightly trendy, but not so out there you'll have to send it off to goodwill a year from now. I also like their wide range of white furniture and accessories. If only places like Coco Målé Interiors and Zara Home would set up shop state side! *sigh*

Isn't this "teapot for one" adorable!!

These tealight holders are so pretty!
gorgeous clock...

I really want a bamboo stool like this
