Faux Bois (from the French for false wood) refers to the artistic imitation of wood or wood grains in various media.
Did I ever show you this sweet little French style table?
It fits perfectly between two chairs in the family room. Just the right size to set down a cup of tea while reading.
One of the things I loved best about this little table is the faux bois legs.
The top is black marble. I have been keeping my eye out for a couple of vintage French books in red to place between the fleur de lis book ends.
